Misikko Hair Dryer *long overdue*

(first time I used the Misikko hair dryer was for my shower)

This is a review I've been trying to get to since my shower this summer! Misikko was kind enough to send me a hair dryer for review!  They are known for their impressive hair dryers and flat irons as you may have seen on other blogs.  I'm not a huge fan of hair dryers but since my hair is naturally straight all I need is a little heat for it to fall flat.  The box came with the hair dryer and a few goodies hand sanitizer, eye liners, etc.  I only used it 3 times and like I said I dont use hair dryers but I just did my whole head for like 10 minutes and it was dry and flat (but then again my hair falls flat all the time).  Maybe if it was a flat iron I would use it more, I do use it more now that its cold because I dont want to go outside with my hair wet.  I personally wouldn't put a lot of usage to it I prefer to flat iron but I do recommend it if you are a pro at using hair dryers because it is a bit difficult for me especially since my hair is long.  In all it does its job.

My friend Nydia has been recommending this to me for the longest and I finally got it.  She uses it exactly how the neiman marcus website says to use it.  In the pic below of my friend shany this shimmerbrick was used on her brow highlight and her cheek highlight.  The shimmerbrick is meant to hit where the light hits your face.  Im glad I bought it and I recommend it to anyone who loves a great highlight.  Im thinking about getting the nectar one next.

I bought this foundation during the Makeup show in NYC in May and let me tell you I have not put it down since, very excited that I only paid $24 at the show instead of the $40!  This foundaiton gives me the perfect coverage, almost like an airbrush look.  I usually wear it alone with nothing else on top even though occasionally I dab bronzer on top!  It is oil free, but sometimes I do get oily depending on the weather and what moisturizer or primer I use.  This foundation does not make you look cakey which is why I love it, its just flawless.  I recommend it to anyone who is looking for a light weight foundation.

YVES SAINT LAURENT MASCARA VOLUME EFFET FAUX CILS REVIEW

I absolutely love this mascara!  The pictures doesn't do justice to my lashes.  I've actually started wearing just this on my eyes, with no eyeshadow.  I get lots of compliments on my mascara.  This mascara might be a little steep in price $30 but to me it was worth it.  I would definitely buy again.  It truly does add drama to your eyes.  It's also easy to take off when removing it with a gentle makeup remover.

Review: L'Oreal Studio Secrets Perfecting Base

What I say:

I got this product for free from the makeup show in NYC.  L'Oreal gave out giftbags with goodies and this was one of the items.  I don't use it much but the times I have used it, it has left my face shiny not matte like it says.  When you apply it, it feels thick but it eventually tones down.  The skin to me felt oily the whole day maybe I have to play with it more, it does leave your face smooth when wearing it alone.  The good thing about is that the foundation glides on smooth on top of it.  In all its a good product, but for the small little jar I think its kind of expensive I think it runs between $11.00-$13.00 and it sucks cause you have to deep your fingers in it all the time which is very unsanitary.

bcbgGeneration Trust Fund nailpolish Review

So I tried my first bcbgGeneration nailpolish in the color Trust Fund $8.00 (they are only available at the bcbgGeneration store).  I absolutely love the color its like a shimmery gold!  Its pretty smooth when applied but I'm not sure if it was the base I used which was seche clear base that made it crack and chip the very next day or the polish itself.  I'm pretty sure if I get a chip free base maybe the results would be better!  Two coats pretty much did the job, which still felt like a thing layer which was good, I hate thick and goopy polishes.  I saw other colors in their collection that I am interested in so I'm going to give them a try, the other colors are amazing.

THIS IS WHAT I SAY:  I PUT THIS PRODUCT ON AND IT INSTANTLY GAVE ME A SLIGHT SHIMMER!  ITS NOT VAVAVOOM SHIMMER JUST A TINT OF SHIMMER!  THIS PRODUCT WOULD LOOK SO GOOD WITH A TAN! I HAD NOTHING ON MY FACE JUST AVEENO LOTION AND IT MADE ME LOOK LIKE I HAD MAKEUP ON! IT ALSO SMELLS GOOD IT HAS A SWEET SMELL CANT REALLY DESCRIBE IT BUT ITS YUMMY.  THE ONLY PART I WASN'T TO HAPPY ABOUT IS THE TASTE I CANT DESCRIBE THE TASTE EITHER BUT ITS A FUNNY TASTE NOTHING MAJOR I CAN LIVE WITH IT :-) IT REALLY DOES KEEP YOUR LIPS MOISTURIZED WHICH IS A PLUS IN MY BOOK ESPECIALLY NOW FOR THE SUMMER. PARIAN SPIRIT BRUSH CLEANER REVIEW

So Im pretty sure you guys have heard of this brush cleaner through youtube and other blogs.  Me personally I had a bad experience with it.  When I was at the makeup show my friend asked if this destroys the the hair on the brushes, he said no but if you you try to clean mac brushes and it reaches the glue on the brush its a possibility that it can come off because mac uses cheap glue lol which we were shocked that he said that lol.  Well that wasnt honestly true I came home and cleaned one of my brushes I only put a dot of this product as soon as I put the brush in, the hairs started coming out drastically.  This product is very strong I only recommend it if you are doing work on someone and you want to use the brush for another color just wet a cloth and just swipe it twice it is not meant for deep cleaning well in my case it wasnt.  I was very upset with my brush cause it was one of the hello kitty limited edition ones so I wont be using this product anytime soon.  Do you have this product if so what kind of experience did you have, do you have any recommendations?

Gerbera Convertible Color by Stila Review

So I bought this at the makeup show! I had been dying to get my hands on this when I saw it on a previous blog so I was very happy to have bought the last one at the show for only 10 bucks! Anyway you can either wear it as a blush or lipgloss Ive used it as both and its amazing!  The only thing that I did a booboo on was after I put it on as a blush I went over it with a powder blush and instead of just patting it on I kind of swiped it on so it got really light totally forgot that its cream!  If you rub it too much it comes off! So as you can see in the pic its barely noticeable if at all!  But what I like most about this product that when you put it on your lips it looks like a nude coral I loved it, I mixed it with glamour for all mac lipgloss and I loved the cute nude lip it gave me! I truly recommend this product it comes in different colors.

Review: Opi Ginger Bells nail polish

So apparently I went and bought ginger bells and honestly I was disappointed. I guess different colors look different on different people. The color on me looked like a brick redish brown while on the temptalia pic it looks orangy wasnt the color I exprected :-( I guess the color was not meant for me I returned it and got barefoot in barcelona. I couldnt find sapphire snow but I will not stop till I find it.

So a friend of mine (daniel) told me about this make-up remover she had seen on tv. She bought it for herself and told me it was fantastic so I had to try it! And I can honestly say I'm impressed it actually worked like magic. It was so smooth and gentle and left no dryness or left over makeup. Everything came out with a swipe! I loved it because my skin is very sensitive and this did not irk it all........Definitely one of my new must haves! The only thing I do dislike about this is the small bottle for $16.50 but it was well worth it! You can buy this at kiehls or at neiman marcus where I found mines! I definitely recommend this product who is looking for a good makeup remover.

MAC'S VOLCANIC ASH EXFOLIATOR REVIEW

So everyone knows about this exfoliant's phenomenal reviews, me per say didnt have the best experience with it. I usually use the St. Ives apricot scrub blemish & blackhead control, and I can honestly say in my opinion I prefer the St. Ives. I have combination oily skin and when I use the St. Ives I feel the oil being lifted from my face as I wash away, even though it does leave my face dry moisturizer can fix that. With the volcanic ash one as i was massaging it on my face I still felt the oil on my face and when I finished and looked in the mirror my nose was still shiny and oily. Maybe like other products this product is not made for all skin types, it sucks cause I bought a few tubes the good thing is it didnt break me out which is a good thing but I just like to scrub my oil away and I felt like this didnt do the job for me. I guess its time to return them. I can only talk about my experience with it a lot of people love it me myself i dont. If you have tried it please share your experience with me! I want to see if anyone feels the same way.
