PrettyLaced on Youtube :-)
Hi Dolls me and two of my friends who I consider little sisters (yes they are younger than me) decided to put a channel together to talk about everything!!! Something to do for fun! We named it PrettyLaced (<-- click the word to route you to the channel). We will talk about all topics and show our silly side in the process! Hope ya can join us on our discussions and give us your input! We want it to be a fun channel! Soon I will also start doing makeup and fashion videos on my channel Hautedolleyes so keep on the look out for that. Working on the channel together with my friends is taking the fear of me being on camera I always though I would be camera shy and I wasn't. Join me and my friends in either channel I guarantee you a good time and a few laughs! Also follow my friends blog at talkofsweetnothings.blogspot.com

makeupbyleinabaaaby Youtube guru Interview!
How often do we go on Youtube to see the latest makeup trends? Too often you might say! but when you have gurus like my favorite Leina its kind of hard not to log on everyday to see what new techniques, reviews or products our favorite gurus have to showcase! Leina is a young girl from the Bay area who has caught the attention of about 56,500 subscribers who are interested in what she does, dont forget she also does fashion once in awhile! She must be doing something right if the viewers keep coming back! I reached out to Leina, so you guys can get to know her a little better!
you can watch her videos here------> LEINA
- Give us a little bio of yourself?
- I’m a nineteen year old aspiring makeup artist from Northern California. I’ve been doing makeup for 2 years. I do makeup for all occasions, ranging from weddings to fun nights out on the town.
- What is a day in the life of Leina like?
- Every day for me is quite different. But in general, I work, spend time with my family and friends, shop, watch movies, do makeup, drink Starbucks, and go on adventures!
- How did you begin in the world of beauty? When did you realize it was your passion?
- A close family friend of mine was REALLY into makeup and fashion. She had an interview with MAC Cosmetics and she’d practice on me beforehand. All I wore at the time was eyeliner and clear lipgloss. I grew a liking for the different colors and looks she did on my face. That’s pretty much where I got exposed to the makeup world, and I absolutely fell in love with it.
- How did you begin with YouTube? What gave you that push? Were you nervous?
- I watched a few makeup tutorials on YouTube, but whenever I searched for a certain makeup look, I couldn’t find it. I loved makeup, but didn’t know too much about it. I just thought it was cool to share my love for makeup with the rest of the YouTube beauty community. I was pretty nervous.. You can tell in my earlier videos that I didn’t look quite comfortable in front of the camera. But I got used to it later on.
- Do you think going to school for makeup-artistry is important to excel in the business later on?
- I definitely do think it helps a lot, but it’s not crucial that you go to makeup school. Plus, there’s no such thing as a licensed makeup artist. It opens up a lot of doors for aspiring makeup artists and I bet you learn so much at makeup school, but there are ways to achieve you goals and reach your dreams without makeup school.
- How would you describe your signature look and what is it about your style that sets you apart from other makeup artists/gurus?
- I think my signature look is a sexy smokey eye. I love doing these, whether it be for daytime or nighttime. I tend to go dramatic with the eyes. My style is very girly. I honestly do not keep up with trend. I just wear and do whatever I feel like at the moment. I get a lot of positive and negative feedback about how I dress. But I say, IF YOU GOT IT, FLAUNT IT! Rock it and be confident.
- Do you feel that looking and feeling beautiful is important in regard to a woman’s confidence and self-esteem?
- Definitely. If you don’t feel good, you won’t look good. What’s going on inside will show on the outside.
- Who are some people that have inspired you?
- SO MANY PEOPLE! Makeup-wise, I really look up to QueenOfBlendingMUA, Eve Pearl, Kandee Johnson and Pixiwoo. In my real life, my family and my best friends.
- What are some of your favorite products in your makeup kit?
- I absolutely love Make Up For Ever’s HD Powder. It’s a wonderful setting powder for oily skin. Dior’s Lip Glow has been my favorite lip balm by far!
- What products do you think should be a staple in every woman’s purse?
- Definitely concealer, blotting powder, lipstick, and mascara! Whenever I touch up, I ALWAYS need these products!
- What do you think are the best/worst trends in the makeup/skin care industry right now?
- The best makeup trend right now is the bronzey, sun-kissed look for summer. The worst makeup trend is the excessive Amy Winehouse eyeliner! There’s a difference between beautiful winged-out liner and.. THAT. Lol.
- Do teenage girls need to splurge on high-priced makeup products, or are drugstore items just as satisfactory?
- I do think that some drugstore products are good. I’m not totally opposed to using drugstore items but with the high-end products, you’re paying for the quality of the product. I must admit, I do love high-end products and I find them to be better than drugstore items! I don’t think it’s CRUCIAL for teenage girls to buy high-end products, but if it’s possible for them to invest in some then I say DO IT! It’ll be well worth the money.
- What are your steps for the perfect, flawless, natural look?
- After cleansing your face using a Clarisonic, moisturize your face, apply a powder foundation (my favorite is Make Up For Ever’s Duo Mat Powder), brush on 2 layers of mascara, fluff on a hint of a peachy blush, dab on lipgloss, and you’re done!
- Lipgloss or lipstick, which product is best? Why?
- I am absolutely in love with Revlon’s Nude Velvet lipstick! It is the PERFECT nude for the tanned ladies! It’s very creamy and pigmented! This is perfect for every day makeup.
- What tips/advice do you have for women starting out with makeup?
- Practice, practice, practice. It takes time to learn everything so don’t feel overwhelmed. I, myself, still don’t know everything about makeup and all its glory! But have fun with it.
- What is your go-to brand that you use on a daily basis?
- I don’t have one specific brand that I use every single day. It’s more of a mix of different brands such as NARS, Make Up For Ever, MAC Cosmetics, and Dior.
- Are there any other YouTube gurus you follow/ or have inspired you?
- QueenOfBlending, Kandee Johnson, Petrilude, Pixiwoo, MakeupByRenRen. I had the wonderful opportunity to meet MakeupByRenRen, QueenOfBlending, and Kandee Johnson at IMATS this year in Pasadena! I was totally starstruck!
- What is the most important beauty advice that you can give to a woman?
