MAC Style Sessions Event

On March 19th I went to one of Nordstroms many MAC events.  I enjoy them so much because they are very educational and very entertaining.  Plus you get to meet pro artists that travel around the world to attend celebrity events and do their makeup!  In these classes they show you how to do the flawless looks they do on celebrities in 20 min, which is exactly how long it takes them during fashion week, Grammy's etc since there in such a rush to get everyone to the runways and red carpets.  Any who in this post I"m going to recap the looks I learned that honestly can be done so quick and easy in 20 minutes.  That's exactly how long it took them to do each look!  Wish I could of took pics of the models but they didn't want to be photographed.  They provided everyone with a MAC notebook and pencil for notes.  And a rundown of the looks that they were doing which they didn't do exactly how it was on the charts. (that's where I got the pics below.)

The Everyday Celebrity look
(this look was described as the quick out the door grocery shopping look)
Face:
first things first moisturizer &/or studio tint moisturizer you can actually use both applied with a 190 brush (foundation was optional its a quick out the door look so u can just use the tinted moisturizer or lightweight foundation.) followed by concealer (prolong wear) the artists actually use a 217 brush to apply concealer which I had never seen before but it applied lightly and softly it looked flawless.  Next the artist contoured the cheekbone with MSF (medium to dark) and applied Spring sheen blush on the cheeks softly.  This gave her a healthy glow.
Eyes:
The first thing she did obviously was put a base on the lid she used painterly paint pot.  Naked pigment was buffed all over eye with a 217 brush with the fall out of the pigment she highlighted the top of the cheek bones.  The light smokey eye was achieved by contouring the eyes (mainly on the crease) with the same MSF she used to contour the face.  She then applied Haute and Naughty mascara (which to them is the best mascara ever created by MAC all 3 looks used this mascara).  Haute and Naughty mascara has 2 brushes one that makes your lashes full and the other brush that separates them.
Lips:
They finished the look with Partial to Pink creamsheen glass

The Grammy Look
(the Grammy look was described as dramatic on eyes and nude on lips or for maximum impact BOLD lips depending on your style)
Face:
they really didn't talk much about the face products they just went straight to the eyes but she did say light weight foundation was fine to keep the attention on the lips and eyes.)
Eyes:
She first applied smolder pencil on lid (this liner could be used as base as well) it doesn't have to be perfect when applied to the lid(you can use the 239 brush to blend the smolder).  After pencil she worked constructivist paint pot onto the smolder up to the natural crease.  Next was carbon eyeshadow, she applied it on the outer corner and inner corner and connected them on the crease.  The middle lid should of been carbon free and this is where you would pat melon pigment into, which would actually be on top of the constructivist paint pot. The bottom lash line would also get smolder with carbon patted on right after.   If you had any fall out with all the black products the artist used what they call fast eye response which I believe is made of silicone and u can just grab a makeup sponge and pat it on the fall out and it just picks up the fall out it wont mess up the makeup you already had on your face if you used foundation or highlight.  She used the melon pigment to highlight her cheek bones. After all eye makeup is done she used the Haute and Naughty mascara.
She lastly applied Danty blush on the cheek bones.
Lips:
Viva Glam Gaga II
(the Grammy look and academy look were kind of shared the charts were different then what they actually used its like they mixed both looks together)

Academy Awards

This one was very simple and she didn't do much (she said the academy awards look is usually similar to the Grammy look so she just spoke about a bold lip and lashes)
She used an angled brush to apply black track fluidline (if starting line from outer corner use the longer side first point towards your ear, if starting from inner corner first use longer side facing nose)  She applied Lashes #36 for the look and just added red prolong wear lipstick with a little of the red lip gloss that came with the superwoman collection. All she used on the lid was satin taupe.
FYI:  the red that Gwen Stefani uses is MAC red
&  the lashes most times used on Kim Kardashian are #3

I had about 95% percent of all the products that the artists used so after the event I got my makeup done and bought a few things some which were spring sheen blush, lashes#3, viva glam II lipstick, bisque e/s, and soft brown e/s I'm a sucker for mattes and usually only buy mattes lol.  I wanted to get the fast response eye cream but totally forgot but I will get it on my next visit when I'm feeling good enough to walk all over the mall to shop for makeup lol this belly is not joke but I cant wait for my little goddess to get here ;-) Overall I had a great time and plan on attending more of their classes.
